A File of Life is critical in an emergency, containing any medical conditions you have, medications you take, and emergency contacts. This way emergency responders can treat you the best way possible should you be found unconscious. You should keep one on your refrigerator and carry one with you in your car, purse, or wallet. There are many formats, I have a digital one that I is in my on-line course that you can download and edit. When anything changes, just update and print new copies for all the places you keep them. If you have a Health Care Proxy, they should have one as well.
